ABOUT USIn Nola Marta we offer experience, skills and products. Little by little, in each product we create, we have begun to introduce haute couture technique. It could be in the pattern making process, in the way we use stitches, the embellishment we put in the product, etc. We use different hand stitches (e.g. festoon, loop, Herringbone, catch and blind stitch) for the finishing of each product. We only use sewing machine 30-40% of the whole stitching process. Our customers are mostly based in Jakarta, but we have customers in other countries who regularly order our product. While other businesses starting to use machine to replace human power in creating products, at Nola Marta we empower our team to continuously improve their handwork.

Every product that we make will follow 4 steps;
- THE DESIGN - Where we will go over the design, client’s sizing, the material and any other design features. Including the making of rough sketches.
- THE PATTERN - This includes a flat pattern making and/or moulage: put draping on the mannequin
- THE TOILE - For our leather products, we always make the toile.
- THE PRODUCTION - Is where we start applying materials together into end product or the adjusted size after a fitting process has been done.
HISTORY |
|
Founded by Nola Marta Agustina Pantouw in 2005. It was originally called Nomara Couture, and our label was Nomara Indonesia. Nola started with making clothes for her fiends and family during her last year at the university.
In 2007, Nola applied for an entrepreneur competition held by British Council Indonesia which is called IYCE (International Young Creative Entrepreneur). She did not get through to finals. However, in 2008 she reapplied and made it into the finals under the brand Nomara. With its ups and downs, Nola has managed to stay in the business. Nomara has learned that Haute Couture is the brand's distinctness and Nola's love of hand-made quality products has made the brand focuses more in finding a break-through in igniting Haute-couture (embroidery) stitches, the market and local heritage |
